June 20
together…
a love withstood
the potholes of life
in erratic storms
and El Niňo droughts,
steadfast and holding on.
a life shared
through moments not years
watchful eyes and guiding hands
a child’s tears be gone
a home, a family with God’s love
ashen haired, toothless smiles
wrinkled skin but undying love
hearts and hands clasped tightly
whatever may be
